Story of: Hamen & Peak Fun from Wuxi Everbright

Hamen from Wuxi Everbright talks to us about his love for his Mum and her sewing machine that still sits in the foyer of his factory.

“This sewing machine was bought by my parents in the early 1970s, so it is roughly at the same age as me. I can still remember that in my childhood, my mother and sisters worked with this machine to make most of our clothes all year round. After the 1990s, when people gradually ceased making their own clothes, this sewing machine became a furnishing only. However, everytime I saw it, it reminded me of my hard working parents. I will never forget them. Now I place this sewing machine here as a memorial to my parents.”
